DEPUTY PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA TO HOST CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR ORPHANS, 17 December 2003
Deputy President Jacob Zuma will host a Christmas Party for orphans in Nkandla in Northern KwaZulu-Natal on 28 December 2003.
The celebration will be held at Myakanya High School in the kwaNxamalala area in Nkandla from 10am and will involve a lot of festivities.
The party is an annual event organised by the Jacob Zuma Educational Trust Fund, which funds the education of more than 3000 children at secondary and high schools, as well as tertiary institutions.
Some of the beneficiaries lost their parents during the internecine conflict in KwaZulu-Natal. The fund has also begun to receive inquiries for help from orphans of AIDS.
We invite the media to attend and cover the event.
