TRANSPORT MINISTER, DULLAH OMAR, OPENS THE KWAMHLANGA TESTING STATION AND THE MPUMALANGA PHASE 8 OF ARRIVE ALIVE
The national Minister of Transport will open the recently upgraded and revamped KwaMhlanga testing station. The station was closed due to the fraudulent issuing of drivers licences and other corrupt activities.
The best practice model has been introduced to fight fraud and corruption at this station. The station was closed due to the fraudulent issuing of licences and other corrupt activities
The best practice model reduces chances for corruption and fraud by limiting interaction between the client and officials. This is done through world-class technology where clients just submit their application, the application then go through all the stages whilst the client is sitting waiting.
Through the technology, clients are informed of the time they are going to wait until their application is processed. The system is being introduced in all provinces; currently a number of registration and testing centres in Gauteng are using the system. The system is the best example of Batho Pele in Action.
The Minister will also kick-start the Mpumalanga phase 8 campaign of the Arrive Alive campaign.
