PREMIER MAHLANGU VISITS MKHONDO MUNICIPALITY DURING IMBIZO FOCUS WEEK
Premier Ndaweni Mahlangu will visit several projects in Mkhondo Municipality tomorrow, Thursday, 16 October 2003, as part of Imbizo Focus Week. At 09:30 he will visit the New Piet Retief Hospital project, which is being revitalised at the cost of more than R61 million. This state of the art hospital was started in July 2002 and it is 60% complete.
The Premier will also assess the upgrading of the nurse's residence, new nursing school and crèche at Piet Retief Hospital. This project is constructed at the cost of R7 749 914. The project was started early this year and will possibly be completed during the second quarter of next year 2004.
The Premier will find time to visit a clinic at Amsterdam at 10:15 before meeting the community at the nearby Amsterdam Community Hall scheduled for 11:00. The members of the community will be able to share their own experiences will the Premier. This is his second visit to projects since the start of the Imbizo Focus Week.
