COMMUNITIES RECLAIMS THEIR COAST IN PE

The Deputy-Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Ms Rejoice Mabudafhasi, will join the community march in claiming back their coast from the poachers tomorrow (15 October 2003) at Willows Holiday Resort in Port Elizabeth. This march is part of the government Imbizo Focus Week and National Marine Week, which are concurrently running from 13 - 17 October 2003.

The march will commence at 14:30 from the Willows Holiday Resort gates.

Later in the evening, the Deputy Minister is also expected to launch an African Journal of Marine Science and announce the 2003 communicator of the year awards in marine related programmes.

The media is invited to attend both events.
