PRESIDENT THABO MBEKI AND MINISTER DLAMINI ZUMA CONCLUDE VISIT TO NIGERIA
President Thabo Mbeki and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazama Dlamini Zuma, today, Sunday, 9 March 2003, concluded their visit to Nigeria, where they attended the NEPAD Heads of State Implementation Committee Meeting held in Abuja.
Minister Dlamini Zuma will now be attending the SADC Council of Ministers meeting in Angola on Monday, 10 March 2003, while President Mbeki will be returning to South Africa before leading a South African Government delegation on a State Visit to Botswana from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 to 13 March 2003.
The Delegation to Botswana will include Mrs Zanele Mbeki and Ministers Dlamini Zuma, Thoko Didiza, Jeff Radebe, Phumzile Mlambo-Nqcuka, Manto Tshabalala-Msimang and Mosiuoa Lekota.
In Angola, the SADC Council of Ministers is expected to discuss progress made in the restructuring of the Regional Organisation, operationalisation of the AU, NEPAD and the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act.
