INVITATION TO A MEDIA BRIEFING ON THE NATIONAL ORDERS AT THE UNION BUILDINGS, 5 DECEMBER 2002, 11:00

The media are invited to attend a media briefing tomorrow, Thursday, 5 December, on the awarding of the New National Orders by President Thabo Mbeki.

The media briefing to be addressed by the Director-General in the Presidency, Reverend Frank Chikane, and other senior government officials will provide valuable information and background on the highest awards to be awarded for the first time in post-apartheid South Africa.

Not only will the briefing be attributable, it will also afford journalists the opportunity to get as much information as possible on the National Orders ceremony.
