MEC GODONGWANA TO TABLE ADJUSTMENT APPROPRIATION BILL
Finance MEC Enoch Godongwana will this afternoon table the adjustments appropriation Bill at the Provincial Legislature in Bisho. The Bill seeks to give provincial government departments an additional funding for the financial year ending March 2003.
In terms of the Public Finance Management Act of 1999, the funds will be appropriated out of the Provincial Revenue Fund. The money is intended to meet unforeseeable and unavoidable expenditure recommended by the Executive Council within the framework determined by the Minister.
It can also be used for expenditure announced by MEC Godongwana during the tabling of annual budget early in March.
