MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCES BY THE NORTHERN CAPE PREMIER, MR M DIPICO, ON THE PASSING AWAY OF MINISTER OF SAFETY AND SECURITY, MR STEVE TSHWETE

Premier Dipico has learnt with great shock and sadness of the passing away of Minister Steve Tshwete. On behalf of the Northern Cape Provincial Government, the Executive Council and the people of the province, he wishes to express his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Mr Steve Tshwete.

He wishes them strength and patience during this difficult time.

With the passing of Minister Steve Tshwete, South Africa has lost a true patriot and a democrat. He was man of principle whose outstanding contributions will be remembered by all of us long after his passing.

He has played a pivotal role in the transformation of the South African Police Services in order for it to regain the respect and trust of the majority of South Africans. His tough stance on crime and violence has earned him the respect by both foe and friend alike.

He will sorely be remembered for his selfless and unwavering commitment during the struggle for national liberation to build a nation in which all people can assert fully their human worth.

Gods Richest Blessings!
