MINISTER TO VISIT COMOROS AS PART OF A DELEGATION
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, accompanied by the foreign ministers of Mauritius and Madagascar and the deputy foreign ministers of Zambia and Tanzania, will visit the Comoros Islands from 19 to 21 December.
The visit takes places against the context of the forthcoming Comoros constitutional referendum scheduled for 23 December.
The ministerial visit is aimed at pledging solidarity with the people of the Comoros from the countries of the region and the OAU within the framework of returning the archipelago to constitutional democracy within the foreseeable future.
The ministers will meet with, among others, President Azali, all political parties as well as the Comoran Implementation Committee which consists of both the government and political parties.
