SPECIAL PRESIDENTIAL COORDINATING COUNCIL MEETING - 14 DECEMBER

Be advised that a Special Presidential Coordinating Council (PCC) meeting is scheduled for Friday, 14 December 2001. This Special PCC will review the first year of democratic local government in South Africa.

The PCC brings together the President, the Minister for Provincial and Local Government, 15 national Ministers, all nine Premiers, MECs for Local Government and the various national, provincial and departmental DGs.

To prepare journalists for Friday's press briefing we have planned a technical briefing session by the Director-General for Provincial and Local Government, Zam Titus, and his three Deputy DGs for Thursday.

Journalists who will attend the press conference on Friday (at the Presidential Guest House) are requested to attend the technical briefing session on Thursday at 13h00. A finger luncheon will be provided.

To prepare for the finger luncheon on Thursday we will require the names and contact numbers of journalists who will attend the briefing session.
