DEPUTY PRESIDENT ZUMA TO HOST AN END-OF-YEAR MEDIA BRIEFING
The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Jacob Zuma, will host an end-of-year media briefing on his activities during the year.
In addition to assisting the President, the Deputy President's responsibilities include:
* Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly;
* Provide political leadership in the areas of traditional, religious, cultural and linguistic affairs;
* Provides leadership on the campaign against HIV/AIDS by chairing the South African Aids Council (SANAC);
* Represents the country on Bi-National Commissions (BNCs); and
* Responsible for fostering moral regeneration.
