On the 14 September 2001, we reported that the South African Government was investigating the whereabouts of South African citizens who may have been affected by the terrorist attacks on the USA.
Accordingly, the Department of Foreign Affairs had sent a list of eight South Africans presumed missing to the USA authorities to verify whether they were indeed affected by the tragic events.
The Task Team would now like to advise that three of these South African citizens have now been located. The three are safe and alive and have been put in touch with their respective families in South Africa.
