MEDIA INVITE
THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES NATIONAL SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE HELD IN BLOEMFONTEIN, 3-7 SEPTEMBER
The national soccer championships of the Department of Correctional Services will be held from 3-7 September 2001, at the Clive Solomon stadium in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.
The Premier of the Free State, Me Winkie Direko will be the keynote speaker at the opening of the championships.
More than 400 players and 150 officials are expected to attend the event. All 9 provinces will take part in the championships. Development teams of Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Western Cape are also part of the championships.
The public is welcome to be part of the event. Admittance is free. Beverages and refreshments will be available at the stadium during the day.
Games will start at 09:00 each day.
The media is welcome to attend this event. A media info centre will be available at the stadium during the week. The Commissioner of Correctional Services and the honourable, Mr Ben Skosana, Minister of Correctional Services, will also be present.
