SARS' e-COMMERCE PROGRAMME GETS UNDER WAY
The first phase of South African Revenue Service's e-Commerce programme got under way today.
The new facility will enable taxpayers to electronically request income tax return extensions and it is part of SARS' Siyakha Project, which is aimed at improving operational efficiencies throughout the organisation.
The facility, which will be supported by the New Income Tax System (NITS), is secure and can be accessed 24 hours a day. It is available on www.sars.gov.za under the e-Commerce and Income Tax - New Income Tax System divisions.
Requesting the income tax return extensions via the e-mail will also be possible in the near future
