STATEMENT ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER, NKOSAZANA DLAMINI-ZUMA, ADDRESSING A RECEPTION IN WASHINGTON
Foreign Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, will address a reception hosted by the South African Ambassador to the United States, Sheila Sisulu, on Tuesday, April 17.
The minister is in Washington for a bilateral discussions with United States Secretary of State, Colin Powell, on the Millennium Africa Recovery Plan, regional conflicts, review of bilateral relations between South Africa and the United Sates, and to lay ground work for a possible state visit by President Thabo Mbeki to the US later this year.
The reception will be attended by amongst others, the Africa Diplomatic Corps, business leaders, members of the National Security Council, State departments, the Pentagon, and the Commerce Department as well as members of US Vice President Dick Cheney's office.
