NEWS MEDIA STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL CRIME INVESTIGATION: FURTHER ARREST BY THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION TEAM IN PORT SHEPSTONE, 18 APRIL 1996
Two men have been arrested in connection with a murder which occurred on 10 April 1994 in the Jericho area near Margate. A 41 year old man was allegedly killed by a group of attackers.
The first suspect was arrested in Hibberdene on 1996-04-15 and was charged and sent to court on Wednesday, 1996-04-17. He his Mr Vincent Danca (25 years). The case was remanded to 1996-05-09 in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court.
The second man, aged 21 years, was arrested in the Lamont area (Margate) on Wednesday, 1996-04-17. He is likely to be charged during the course of the day and he will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court on Friday, 1996-04-19.
These arrests bring to 32 the number of people arrested in 17 cases.
