Minister Grant to welcome new learners on the first day of school

15 Jan 2013

Tomorrow, Minister Donald Grant is visiting Sid G. Rule Primary in Grassy Park to meet their new intake of Grade R and Grade 1 learners at the school.

This is a particularly nerve-wracking day for many of our new learners and Minister Grant will be welcoming them warmly to their new school.

The school has also been selected based on an analysis of the schools language and mathematics results. The school achieved good results in both Grade 3 and 6 in the latest 2012 language and mathematics tests. More information on this will be provided at the event.

After visiting and meeting some of the learners, the Minister will be available for media interviews.

Date: 16 January 2013
Time: 09h15
Venue: Sid G. Rule Primary in Grassy Park - 180 7th Avenue, Grassy Park, Cape Town
