National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) public hearings

15 Jan 2013

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) will be holding public hearings on the current Eskom application for electricity tariff increases. These public hearings provide a platform for the public to make their inputs on Eskom’s proposed tariff hike.

The Department of Energy encourages all sectors of the South African economy to participate in these public hearings to ensure that NERSA considers all the views as it independently considers the application by Eskom.

We believe that there should be understandings of the tariff application content by all affected stakeholders in order to provide constructive inputs at these public hearings.

The Department of Energy further pleads with all South Africans who can’t make it to the hearings to make their voices heard by calling or sending written submissions to NERSA on the following contact details:

Tel: 012 401 4715 or 012 401 4033
Fax no: 012 401 4700
