Transport Minister Dikobe Ben Martins to release 2012/13 festive season road death statistics

Transport Minister, Honourable Dikobe Ben Martins will announce the 2012/13 preliminary festive season road death statistics during a media briefing to be held in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

The Minister will also announce plans to intensify the implementation of road safety initiatives such as the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011 to 2020 in further commitment to reducing the carnage on South Africa's roads.

The details of the media briefing are as follows:

Date: Thursday, 10 January 2013
Time: 9h30 for 10h00
Venue: Southern Sun North Beach Hotel, 83/91 Snell Parade Durban

The Minister will be joined by Chief Executive Officers of Transport Agencies and other key transport stakeholders and senior government officials.
