MEC Hope Papo distributes brand new school uniform

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 9 January 2013, Gauteng Health MEC, Hope Papo will visit three schools in Eersterust, East of Tshwane where he will brighten up underprivileged learner’s first day of school by providing brand new uniforms.

This initiative, Bana Pele (Putting Children First), by Gauteng government aims to motivate learners to excel in their studies and to improve access to education in disadvantaged communities.

In addition to the uniforms, the MEC will also meet with management of these schools (Nantes Primary, PS Fourie Primary and Eersterust Secondary) to determine the state of readiness for the 2013 academic year.

Details are as follows:

  • Nantes Primary School, Cnr Coverdale East and Sionsberg Street, Eersterust, 7h30
  • PS Fourie Primary School, 290 St Joseph Avenue, Eersterust, 9h00
  • Eersterust Secondary School, 262 January Avenue, Eersterust, 10h00
