MEC Marawu hands over 36 new vehicles

26 Nov 2012

As part of the 2012/13 Festive Season Arrive Alive campaign launch, MEC for Transport Thandiswa Marawu handed over 36 new vehicles at the Mt Frere Town Hall on Friday 23 November 2012.

The new vehicles which are replacing 36 ageing Traffic Control vehicles are intended to improve and bolster traffic capacity whilst performing their duties, as the new vehicles are always available and downtime is minimal and maintenance costs will be minimised.

This will further help to intensify traffic safety during the upcoming 2013 Orange Africa Cup of Nations Tournament to take place in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
