Deputy Minister Xasa to address the Imvelo Awards ceremony

The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Tokozile Xasa will deliver a keynote address at the Imvelo Awards ceremony which will be hosted by Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa (FEDHASA).

To be held for the eleventh time this year, the Imvelo awards have had a huge impact on tourism in South Africa, creating significant awareness of environmental management issues in the industry. 

The awards are in line with the National Minimum Standard for Responsible Tourism, the Responsible Tourism guidelines for the South African hospitality industry and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation's code of ethics.

Date: Wednesday, 31 October 2012
Time: 16h30 for 17h00
Venue: Montecasino, Ballroom, Fourways

Deputy Minister Xasa is expected to deliberate on the importance of responsible tourism.
