Government and COSATU extend consultation on Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project

5 Oct 2012

The Inter-Ministerial Committee (GFIP) on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP) met with the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) at the Union Buildings, Pretoria, today.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe and Cosatu President Sidumo Dlamini respectively led the government and labour delegations at the meeting, which followed a July 20 2012 consultation.

The meeting agreed that more time was needed for both parties to consider the proposals on the table.

The meeting will reconvene in a week’s time.
