The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) acknowledges complaint against President Jacob Zuma

27 Aug 2012

The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) acknowledges receipt of the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) complaint against President Jacob Zuma regarding his purported utterances that,”being single is not right and kids are important to women because they actually give extra training to a woman, to be a mother”.

The DA further alleges that these utterances attributed to President Zuma are the sexist by implication are unconstitutional.

The CGE is investigating the complaint. The Commission will therefore allow due processes to run its course, and will not be making further comments as it will prejudice all parties concerned.
