Media briefing on the release of the draft second National Water Resource Strategy
24 Aug 2012 The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa, MP will brief members of the media on the release of the Draft second National Water Resource Strategy (NWRS). The details are as follows:

The document was recently approved by Cabinet for gazetting. It is the culmination of a process of wide and extensive consultation by the Department with experts it the water sector, both in government and in the private sector. The first edition of NWRS was published in 2004 and widely hailed as a blueprint for water resource management in South Africa. Enquiries:
