KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education Senzo Mchunu sends his condolences

16 Aug 2012

The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Senzo Mchunu, would like to send his condolences to the family, friends and fellow learners of Wandile Ncayiyana who drowned while crossing the river during a school cross country race.

The late Wandile was a Grade 7 learner at Bhosikhi Primary school in Harding and was said to be an academically gifted child. Wandile was among the group who had strayed off course during the race and drowned at the confluence of Thuvekezi and Mzimkhulwna rivers.

“As a department we are very saddened by the sudden death of young Wandile and we pray that God give his family strength during this difficult time,” said MEC Senzo Mchunu.
