Launch of Kwamandlenkosi Youth Centre

On 18th July Nelson Mandela, the first President of a democratic South Africa, celebrates his 94th birthday.

In honour of his lifetime of contribution, people across the globe will be contributing 67 minutes of their time to help change the lives of others for the better. The Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Honourable Gugile Nkwinti in partnership with the Central Karoo District Municipality, Beaufort West Local Municipality and the SABC cordially invite you to celebrate this historic occasion and to witness the launch of the KwaMandlenkosi Youth Centre project at KwaMandlenkosi, Beaufort West.

This will also serve as an opportunity for those who wish to contribute their time to assist with certain projects; amongst others, the paving of a walkway and the planting of an avenue of aloes. The young people of the Central Karoo Region who are part of the NARYSEC Program will be actively engaged in these activities.

The event is scheduled as follows:
Date: 18 July 2012
Venue: KwaMandlenkosi Community Hall, Beaufort West
Time: 06h00-14h00

The programme is divided into three sessions.

Session 1 – will be SABC 2 Morning Live’s live broadcast running from 06h00 to 08h00
Session 2 – official launch of the KwaMandlenkosi Youth Hub running from 10h00 to 12h00
Session 3 – the delegation led by the Minister, Mayors, SABC and other partners will visit housing projects and food gardens.

The theme for the project is, “By the youth for the youth”.
