MEC Mabe sworn in as Acting Premier

16 Jul 2012

North West MEC for Education and Training, Louisa Mabe was sworn-in by Honourable Judge President of the North West High Court Monnica Leeuw as Acting Premier for the North West Province as from today.

MEC Mabe was appointed Acting Premier by Premier Mme Thandi Modise during her absence from duty as she has to honour unavoidable and long overdue medical obligation which necessitates her absence from active work for two weeks.

Over and above her responsibilities as Premier, Mabe is expected to perform her current responsibilities as MEC for Education and Training.

Premier Modise has expressed optimism that the Acting Premier will perform functions delegated to her with diligence and commitment.
