Government is committed to speedy resolution of wage negotiations

11 Jul 2012

The Minister of Public Service and Administration, Lindiwe Sisulu has noted comments from Labour on the state of the negotiations.

The Minister reiterates the commitment of Government to finalising the negotiations as soon as possible.

“We remain committed to finding a solution as soon as possible. We are negotiating a multi-year agreement within very limited resources; it can be frustrating at times. ” Sisulu said.

The Minister added that we are close to a settlement and it is in the best interest of all parties to remain in the Bargaining Council to search for a solution together.

The Minister has since requested an urgent meeting with all parties.
