President Zuma congratulates South Sudan on its first anniversary of independence

On behalf of the Government and the people of South Africa, His Excellency President Jacob Zuma hereby wishes to extend the cordial wishes and sincere congratulations to the Government and the people of South Sudan as they celebrate the first anniversary of their independence.

South Africa will continue to support efforts aimed at ensuring a peaceful and stable environment in South Sudan that will create conditions for the entrenchment of democracy and the development of government institutions for the betterment of the people of South Sudan.
