Limpopo textbook delivery: Verification of information

2 Jul 2012

The Department of Basic Education is concerned about reports that books may not have reached all schools in Limpopo province and that progress reports that are being provided to the department, with regard to the delivery of these learning materials, may not be accurate.

Therefore the Department of Basic Education would like to announce that Ms Mary Metcalfe has been appointed to assist with the verification of the information that the Department has with regard to the distribution of these learning materials to learners in Grades 1, 2, 3 and 10 in Limpopo province.

The department has also set up its call centre to deal with all reports from the public with regard to any information of schools in Limpopo that have not received any learning material and encourages anyone with information on such cases to phone 0800 202 933 between 08:30 and 16:00 on weekdays with all of the specific details.
