MEC Butana Komphela to address media conference

Kindly take note that MEC Butana Komphela media Conference  below, scheduled for today, Monday, 25 June 2012 at 9:30 am has been postponed until further notice. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a results of this postponement.

The MEC for Police, Roads and Transport in the Free State, Honourable Butana Komphela, will hold a media conference on Monday 25 June 2012 in the MEC’s board room 4th Floor, Perm Building, 45 Maitland Street, Bloemfontein at 9h30.

Hon. Komphela would elaborate on the state of public transport in the province as he is concerned about the high number of unroadworthy buses that have been impounded or discontinued by our law enforcement agencies. Also on the agenda are measures the department would take to reduce the ever increasing road accidents in the province.

The MEC will also give feedback on important programmes that the department has undertaken such as road construction, road safety education as well as safety and security related matters in the province.

Mec Butana Komphela would like to invite all media houses in the province to attend this important information sharing session in the Calendar of the department.
