Defence Review Committee Limpopo Public Participation Programme

The Defence Review Committee will host a Public Participation Programme in partnership with the Limpopo Provincial Government to enable the committee to draw on a breadth of expertise and engage with views from a cross section of the society to assist in pronouncing on the short and long-term Defence Policy and what the public expect from the South African National Defence Force.

The Committee was appointed as an independent body to pronounce independently on future defence policy and strategy.

The draft Defence Review 2012 was made public on Thursday 12 April 2012. A number of consultation events were conducted with stakeholders and the public in theNorth West, KwaZulu- Natal, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape provinces.

Media is invited to cover the event as follows.

Date: 23 June 2012
Time: 10h00 - 14h00
Venue: Aganang Community Hall, Aganang (Ceres)

The public participation and stakeholder engagements will end on 28 July 2012.
