Parliament hosts Youth Parliament

20 Jun 2012

Young people from all nine provinces will meet in a Youth Parliament to debate issues related to the youth.

Topics for the debate will focus on:

  • education and learning
  • economic freedom in our lifetime
  • eradicating youth unemployment

Unemployed graduates, young achievers, entrepreneurs, youth involved in sports, the arts and culture are scheduled to attend. Organisations from which they will come include the:

  • National Youth Development Agency
  • South African Youth Council
  • Black Management Forum Young Professionals
  • University Sports South Africa
  • South African Youth Chamber of Commerce

Time: 08h00 – 15h45
Venue: Old Assembly Chamber, Parliament
