National Assembly debates Youth Day: ‘Education and Learning to address Youth Unemployment Poverty and Inequality’

The National Assembly will on Thursday, 14 June debate Youth Day under the theme: ‘Education and Learning to address Youth Unemployment Poverty and Inequality’

Journalist and photographers who do not have Parliamentary media access permits and wish to cover the debate must send their details to Nolizwi Magwagwa on 083 313 1323 or 021 403265 or at nmagwagwa@parliament.gov.za by 17h00 tomorrow, Wednesday 13 June.

Details required are:

  • name of media house
  • full name ID or
  • passport number.

The following protocols apply when photographing in the National Assembly Chamber:

1. Photographers granted permission to take photographs of proceedings may not use a flash or tripod.
2. Photographers granted permission to photograph must follow instructions from Parliamentary officials.
3. Photographers must wear a bib for the duration of their stay.
4. Photographers seeking permission to photograph proceedings must have been commissioned to do so by a media organisation.

Please note that no filming is allowed by outside videographers. Film footage (live feeds) may be obtained from Parliament's Sound and Vision Unit.
