Drug mule arrested at Cape Town International Airport

This morning 11 June 2012 at 11h45 a 31 year old Namibian woman, who resides in Parklands was arrested at Cape Town International Airport in possession of 1.3kg of cocaine with a street value of approximately R390 000.

The suspect arrived in South Africa on a flight from South America. Her luggage was searched when she appeared suspicious, and the contraband was discovered hidden in the handles of her suitcases. She is being detained until her court appearance in Bellville, once she has been charged.

The circumstances of the matter are being investigated.
