1 Jun 2012 National Treasury will on Tuesday, 5 June 2012, host a media workshop on the local government revenue and expenditure reports that the Treasury publishes quarterly.
The agenda for the workshop includes an overview of the legal framework for municipalities, key aspects of the municipal budget process, the local government accountability cycle, and concludes with a detailed presentation of the latest third quarter, ending March 2012, Section 71 revenue and expenditure report, including conditional grants which will be published after the workshop on Tuesday.
