President Zuma receives Police Inquiry report

21 May 2012

President Jacob Zuma has received a report from the Board of Inquiry that he had appointed in terms of Section 9(1) of the South African Police Service Act to inquire into alleged misconduct by the National Commissioner of Police, General Bhekokwakhe Hamilton Cele, and to pronounce on his fitness for office or his capacity to execute his official duties efficiently.

The Board of Inquiry chairperson, Judge Jakes Moloi presented the report to the President yesterday, 20 May 2012. The President is studying the report and its findings and will make his response known in due course.
