President Zuma declares Special Provincial Official Funeral for Mr Phadagi

President Jacob Zuma has declared, on request of the Limpopo Provincial Government, a Special Provincial Official Funeral for Mr George Phadagi. 

The Special Provincial Official Funeral is reserved for distinguished persons as decided by the President of the Republic.

Mr Phadagi served as a member of the National Assembly and Member of the Executive Council responsible for Public Works and later for Safety and Security in Limpopo. He was later appointed Premier’s Political and Traditional Affairs Advisor. 

The President has further authorised that the National Flag fly at half-mast in the Limpopo Province on the day of the funeral.

Details of the funeral will be communicated by the Limpopo Provincial Government.
