Deputy Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize to sign Education and Training declaration with the European Union

Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Training, Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize, will on Thursday 17 May represent the South African government in signing a joint declaration on collaboration and dialogue in education and training with the European Union.

Signing on behalf of the EU will be the European Commission’s Director-General for Education and Culture, Mr Jan Truszczyński, who is responsible for Education, Training, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth in the EU.  

Members of the Media are invited.

Date: Thursday, 17 May 2012
Time: 14h00 to 15h30
Venue: University of the Western Cape, Belville Campus

The signing will be taking place on the sidelines of the "African Higher Education Harmonisation: Tuning and Shaping Responsive and Quality Postgraduate Education" Conference taking place at the University of the Western Cape.
