Correctional Services to release its 165th offender

11 May 2012

The Department of Correctional Services will release its 165th offender under the newly launched Electronic Monitoring/Tagging system at the Drakenstein Correctional Centre on Tuesday, 15 May 2012.

Correctional Services Minister, the Honourable Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, will attend the occasion to mark this historic event and also oversee the Special Remission of Sentences that will also take place at the centre. Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the event.
