Ministers bring good news to Marsh Memorial Children's Home

7 May 2012

Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz, and his cabinet colleague, Minister of Human Settlement, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will tomorrow be visiting the Marsh Memorial Children's Home in Rondebosch.

Minister Madikizela's department has written off loans worth over R4 million to several non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and Marsh Memorial Children's Home has just been released from a debt of over R1 million.

They are currently funded by the Department of Social Development for services rendered to 60 children at risk. The saving can now be put to good use for further services.

There will be photograph and interview opportunities.

  • Date: Tuesday, 8 May 2012
  • Time: 11h00
