7 Jan 2010

Gauteng Education MEC, Ms Barbara Creecy will today, Thursday 7 January 2010, announce the 2009 grade 12 results at Jeppe High School for Girls in Kensington, Johannesburg at 10h00.

About 109 000 learners sat for the 2009 exams in 750 centers, throughout the province last year. The number of full time candidates was 2 234 more than the 99 984 who sat for their exams last year.

All learners who sat for these examinations are advised that if they have not done as well as they expected, there are many options including, re-writing some papers or going to a Further Education and Training (FET) College. The department appeals to parents to continue supporting and advising learners of these alternatives
