MEC Cronje takes post-budget roadshow to Newcastle and Trecht

6 May 2012

The MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé, will on Tuesday, 8 May 2012 interact and listen to the views of the business sector and communities of Amajuba District Municipality in Newcastle and the surroundings to get their responses and reactions to the current provincial budget.

This post-budget road-show for the current financial year 2012/13 is a consultative process aimed at informing the public about the government plans to use allocated budget to alleviate poverty in the province. It is also in line with the provincial government’s initiative to encourage public participation in the provincial budget allocations and to promote transparency as well as encouraging the culture of saving.
