Minister of Energy visits Noupoort Community

3 May 2012

The Minister of Energy, Ms Dipuo Peters MP will on Friday, 4 May 2012 visit Noupoort community as part of her Public engagement programme and also a direct response to parliament's call to Ministers/Premiers to visit designated societies as part of the broader governmental strategy to engage communities at local level. These visits are expected to addresses the broader government service delivery issues across the board.

These visits serve as a platform to assess the work of government in general, to listen and observe challenges facing their designated communities; sensitise communities on the achievements of national departments on an ongoing basis.

The minister will be joined by the District Mayor; JZ Lolwana, the Umsobomvu local municipality Mayor, Cllr Hermans and the mayoral committee members.

The event is organised as follows:

Venue: JJ Classen Hall, Noupoort (Northern Cape)
Time/s: 10h00 to 16h00
