President Jacob Zuma to participate at the inaugural KwaZulu-Natal chess tournament
21 Dec 2009 President Jacob Zuma will participate at the inaugural KwaZulu-Natal chess tournament to be held on Tuesday, 22 December, at Nkandla community hall in KwaZulu-Natal. The tournament has been organised at the request of the President in order to teach the youth patience and strategic thinking, and to promote recreational activity in rural areas. President Zuma is an ardent chess player and wants to see the game being rolled out in various remote communities of the province as it requires minimal infrastructure.
