Deputy President Motlanthe visits Malawi

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is visiting the Republic of Malawi today, 23 April 2012, to attend the funeral service of the late Mr Bingu wa Mutharika, former President of the Republic of Malawi. Deputy President Motlanthe is accompanied by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.

South Africa and Malawi are members of the 15-nation Southern African Development Community (SADC) and enjoy strong relations at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
