The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature shall hold public hearings on the Traditional Courts Bill

The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature shall hold public hearings on the Traditional Courts Bill in the province from the 23, 24 and 26 April 2012. The purpose of the bill is to regulate the conduct of legal proceedings by the traditional courts.

The public hearings will take place as follows:

Date: 23 April 2012
Venue: Queenstown Town Hall
Time: 10h00

Date: 24 April 2012
Venue: Mthatha Town Hall
Time: 10h00

Date: 24 April 2012
Venue: Lusikisiki Teachers Training College
Time: 10h00

Date: 26 April 2012
Venue: Mdantsane Indoor Sports Centre
Time: 10h00

Members of the public are invited to join the Legislature on any of the above dates and places. Copies of the bill may be obtained from the coordinator of the committee at 082 448 1165 or by email at kthyala@ecleg.gov.za and may also be downloaded from the Legislature website at http://www.ecleg.gov.za/
