North West Health to hold sod turning ceremony for construction of Tweelingspan Clinic, Sekhing Community Health Centre and Buxton Clinic

The North West MEC for Health Dr. Magome Masike will host a sod turning ceremony for the construction of Sekhing Community Health Centre (CHC), Tweelingspan and Buxton clinics in Taung, Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District on Friday 13 April 2012.

This follows a favourable response by the department to appeals from the Community for healthcare facilities in the area to be upgraded. 

The aim is to make the clinics accessible to residents and minimize their difficulties of travel long distance to receive medical care.

The clinics for which the sod turning will be made will render the basic primary healthcare services which include minor ailments, chronic illnesses, family planning, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s), psychiatric, tuberculosis control, emergency services, maternal and reproductive health, pap smear, nutrition, communicable diseases, environmental health services and mental health and substance abuse.
