Western Cape Government to host game and wildlife summit

3 Apr 2012

On Wednesday, 4 April 2012 the Western Cape Government will host a summit with stakeholders in the wildlife and animal conservation sector as part of an effort to promote a coordinated approach to game and wildlife management in the Western Cape.

Approximately 80 organisations have been invited to the summit, which will serve as a consultative engagement platform between relevant roleplayers on key issues in the sector.

The summit aims to forge strategic partnerships and multi-stakeholder commitment to joint action in order to address challenges identified, underpinned by the Western Cape Government's philosophy that progress and positive results are achieved better together, meaning when all roleplayers - public, private and non-profit are mobilised to work together in effective partnerships.
